Job Details Job Location Jamaica Plain Campus - JAMAICA PLAIN, MA Position Type Full Time Education Level Not Specified Salary Range $70,000.00 Salary/year Job Shift Day Description The HR Employment Relations Specialist will assist in the management of services for 300 employees across multiple locations. The HR Generalist will assist with a variety of Talent/HR responsibilities to support the department and employees. The HR Specialist will support the Recruitment Manager and VP of Talent with a range of HR activities including, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, employee correspondence, employee recognition, employee satisfaction, information gathering, tracking and analysis, clerical/admin tasks, and other projects. The HR Specialist will focus on specific areas of HR as directed and must be able to work independently, and shift focus quickly. It is essential that the HRG is detailed oriented with outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills. Contribute to developing innovative marketing related to recruitment and promoting the agency as a great place to work
Proficiency with social media platforms; strong technical ability and knowledge in order to utilize social media and other mediums
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Proficiency using computers, printers, copy machines, and fax machines
Asist with annual Open Enrollment
Assist with on/off boarding of hires/employees and extended onboarding
Assist with targeted outreach strategies for recruitment and correspondence to employees
Attend career fairs, in addition to other recruitment related events
Assist as directed with screening resumes, conducting phone interviews, scheduling interviews, reference checks, and offer letters, monitor and create systems for ensuring this information in the HRIS system Talent module
Work with Recruitment Manager/Hiring Managers to ensure job descriptions are up to date
Field calls/inquiries from employees including general HR related questions, troubleshooting ESS system
Review, organize and manage HR paper and electronic records
Track employee information including performance eval dates, training dates, assist with tracking background checks
Responsible for creating, monitoring and managing tracking of employee training, ensure employees are up to date with required training/s
Work to improve efficiency and use of HRIS system, become the system expert to ensure it is used to its fullest capacity including scheduling, performance evaluation and training modules
Train employees to use HRIS Employee Self Service System, present other employee trainings as assigned, collaborate with Department training leaders
Serve as back up to lead New Hire orientation. Manage and update materials used for New Hire Orientation
Research, collect and compare compensation data to ensure the agency is competitive
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
A minimum of 2 years of HR experience required
Experience in mental health and non-profit sector preferred
Strong drive and enthusiasm
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy required
