Overview Of Position
Medifast is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build the foundation of our digital business a cloud-based platform of high-performing services that can horizontally scale to millions of users. Job Responsibilities

• Enable the development teams
• Cloud Container Engineering
• Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD)
• Persistence Engineering - DaaS (Database as a Service), Caching and Storage solutions
• Set-up and automation of applications on public IaaS platforms and containers
• Onboard new capabilities to the cloud platform in a timely fashion
• Support defects and enhancement requests in a timely fashion
• Deep Knowledge of operations engineering to innovate and influence operational approach
• Engage in PoCs of new DevOps/Platform tooling to support changing requirements
• Work collaboratively with all partner teams

Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities

• Degree in CS, IT, or Engineering
• 5 years in DevOps/SRE functions, including strong hands-on experience in:
  
  • Python scripting
  • AWS Cloud Engineering (AWS certification would be a plus)
  • Infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins or equivalent)
  • Containerization (Docker), orchestrated using Kubernetes
  • Persistence Engineering (SQL and NoSQL databases)
  • Demonstrable understanding of Microservices, Event-driven, and distributed architecture
  • Admin-level experience in DVCS systems
  • API handling experience with Repositories (AWS CodeArtifact, Nexus, Artifactory or similar repositories)
• Demonstrable understanding of DevOps, SRE, and Continuous Delivery
• Quick learner with a great can-do attitude, open to on and off-site training
