At a Glance:
We are looking for a Senior Application Platform Support Engineer - Oracle SaaS ERP to effectively implement, customize, support, and maintain the cloud-based ERP & infrastructure solutions for H&P.
What you will do:
  • Collaborate with architects and solution designers to design scalable, reliable, and high-performance infrastructure solutions for hosting Oracle Fusion applications. This includes designing network architecture, server infrastructure, storage solutions, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Lead or participate in the implementation of Oracle Fusion applications, including modules such as ERP and SCM & Manufacturing. Configure the applications according to business requirements, including setting up business processes, workflows, and security controls
  • Lead the deployment of Oracle Fusion applications onto the infrastructure, ensuring proper configuration, optimization, and integration with other systems. This involves setting up Oracle Fusion middleware, application servers, databases, and associated components.
  • Design and implement integrations between Oracle Fusion applications and other systems within the organization's IT landscape. This includes integrating with legacy systems, third-party applications, and external APIs using technologies such as REST, SOAP, and Oracle Integration Cloud.
  • Plan and execute data migration activities when transitioning from legacy systems to Oracle Fusion applications. This involves extracting data from existing systems, transforming it to fit the format required by Oracle Fusion, and loading it into the new system.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Oracle Fusion applications and underlying infrastructure components. Identify bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and implement performance tuning strategies to ensure optimal application performance and user experience
  • Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and best practices to protect Oracle Fusion applications and data. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS. Configure security features such as access controls, encryption, and auditing
  • Set up monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively monitor the health, availability, and performance of Oracle Fusion applications and infrastructure components. Utilize monitoring tools like Oracle Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, or custom scripts
  • Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems affecting Oracle Fusion applications and infrastructure components. Implement incident management processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address incidents in a timely manner
  • Perform capacity planning to anticipate future resource requirements and plan for scaling Oracle Fusion applications and infrastructure as needed. Scale infrastructure resources vertically or horizontally to accommodate growing workloads and user demands.
  • Collaborate with Oracle support and vendors to troubleshoot issues, obtain technical assistance, and coordinate upgrades or patches for Oracle Fusion applications and infrastructure components
  • Provide training and support to end-users on how to use Oracle Fusion applications effectively. Develop training materials, conduct user training sessions, and offer ongoing support to address user questions and issues.
What you need:
As a Fusion Platform Engineer, we are looking for someone who has a combination of technical skills, domain knowledge, and soft skills. Here are some skills commonly required for this role
  • A deep understanding and 3-5 years of hands on experience on Oracle Fusion applications, including ERP & SCM modules. This includes knowledge of underlying data models, business processes, and integration points. Familiarity with the different modules within Oracle SaaS ERP, such as Financials, Procurement, Project Portfolio Management, Supply Chain Management & Manufacturing etc. are a must. Understanding the functionalities, processes, and integration points of each module is crucial.
  • Ability to configure Oracle SaaS ERP modules according to the organization's requirements. This includes setting up chart of accounts, defining business units, configuring workflows, defining security roles and privileges, etc.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies such as Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Identity Management, etc. Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware is essential for integrating and customizing Oracle Fusion applications.
  • Experience in administering Oracle Fusion Cloud environments, including setup, configuration & security management
  • Ability to customize Oracle Fusion applications to meet specific business requirements using tools such as Oracle Application Composer, Oracle Visual Builder, Oracle JDeveloper, etc. Knowledge of Oracle Fusion development frameworks such as ADF (Application Development Framework), VBCS, APEX is also beneficial.
  • Experience in integrating Oracle SaaS ERP with other systems within the organization's IT landscape, such as legacy ERP systems, CRM systems, or third-party applications. Knowledge of integration technologies like REST APIs, SOAP web services, Oracle Integration Cloud, etc., is valuable.
  • Strong SQL (Structured Query Language) and PL/SQL (Procedural Language/SQL) skills are essential for working with Oracle databases and customizing Oracle Fusion applications
  • Ability to plan and execute data migration activities when transitioning from legacy systems to Oracle SaaS ERP. This includes extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from existing systems into Oracle SaaS ERP
  • Proficiency in creating reports and dashboards using Oracle SaaS ERP's built-in reporting tools, such as Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Oracle Analytics Cloud, or integrating with third-party reporting tools.
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements related to Oracle SaaS ERP. This includes implementing role-based access controls, managing user permissions, and ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and experience in designing and implementing cloud networking solutions on OCI. This includes knowledge of virtual cloud networks (VCNs), subnets, security lists, load balancers, and VPN connections.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This includes knowledge of OCI core services such as Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Database services
  • Experience in designing highly available and resilient cloud architectures on OCI, including strategies for fault tolerance, load balancing, and disaster recovery. Familiarity with OCI services such as Fast Connect, Object Storage, and Block Volumes for data redundancy and backup is essential.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database services on OCI, including Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Database Cloud Service. Experience in provisioning, configuring, tuning, and managing Oracle databases in the cloud.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Experience in deploying and managing containerized applications on OCI Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE) or other OCI services
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure automation. Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
Other Soft Skills :
  • Effective communication skills are important for collaborating with cross-functional teams, understanding business requirements, and providing technical guidance to stakeholders throughout the Oracle SaaS ERP implementation lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues in OCI environments. Ability to identify performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and infrastructure failures, and implement effective solutions.
  • Basic project management skills to plan, execute, and manage Oracle SaaS ERP implementation projects. This includes defining project scope, timelines, resource allocation, and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Given the continuous evolution of Oracle SaaS ERP offerings and updates, a commitment to ongoing learning and staying updated with the latest features and functionalities is essential for success in this role
  • Obtaining relevant Oracle certifications, such as Oracle Cloud ERP certifications, can validate your expertise and enhance your credibility as an Oracle SaaS ERP professional.
