Design Engineers support sales and operations teams, handling design tasks in-office and in the field. They review reference materials, analyze ground improvement options, and perform finite element modeling.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviewing reference materials such as geotechnical reports and project plans.
• Analyzing ground improvement options based on project criteria.
• Developing cross sections, soil profiles, and properties for design.
• Performing finite element modeling to understand soil-structure interactions.
• Conducting design calculations and preparing documents.
• Reviewing QA/QC and preparing project documents.
• Responding promptly to project queries and deviations from design.
• Education and Experience
• Hybrid work structure!

Requirements

• 0-3 years of geotechnical design experience.
• E.I.T. preferred (Engineer-In-Training)
• Good understanding of deep foundation and ground improvement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic understanding of geotechnical design principles.
• Proficiency in slope stability analysis and finite element modeling.
• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
• Organized documentation and completion of tasks.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and commitments.
