Position Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Memphis, TN - Relocation Assistance

Duration: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Compensation: $95-110k

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer , you will play a crucial role in optimizing and streamlining manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Your responsibilities will span various aspects of process improvement, quality assurance, and safety. Here are the key details:

Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization : Analyze existing production methods, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Quality Assurance : Provide quality assurance guidance throughout the design, development, and testing process. Ensure adherence to practices, procedures, and techniques.
• Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Root Cause Analysis : Investigate and prioritize quality concerns, verify corrective actions for internal processes, and collaborate with suppliers.
• Ergonomic Evaluations : Conduct ergonomic evaluations for job roles and deliver corrective actions as needed.
• Scrap Reduction : Analyze cell/array scrap root causes and implement corrective actions to minimize waste.
• Documentation : Create process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processes.
• Assembly Resolution : Take a lead role in resolving assembly-related concerns.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Variability Reduction : Lead initiatives to reduce variability and implement lean manufacturing best practices.
• Compliance : Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, governmental, and environmental standards.
• ISO Support : Support ISO 14001 compliance and participate in internal ISO auditing.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience : 5 years of related experience.
• Shift Flexibility : Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma : Experience in lean methodologies and Six Sigma principles.
• Problem-Solving Skills : Proficiency in 8D and 5Why corrective action methods.
• Lean Tools : Familiarity with 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Quality Methods : Knowledge of TQM (Total Quality Management) and Kaizen methods.
• Process Experience : Exposure to FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs.
• Visual Factory Management : Understanding of visual management techniques.
• Ergonomic Analysis : Knowledge and experience in ergonomic evaluations.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience:

• Travel Flexibility : Ability to travel significantly during initial plant start-up phases.
