Key Responsibilities:

• Works directly with our Physicians to assist the assessment and examination of patient.
• Record patient subjective information and concerns.
• Enters all information into the Boomerang Healthcare EMR system.

• Assists Physician in completing patient request forms.
• Performs daily exam room and stock room inspection, ensures supplies are adequate for patient care.
• Performs other back-office duties as directed.
• May be asked to travel to our other office locations to assist Physician as needed.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION :

• High School diploma or GED.

Requirements:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant course from an accredited or recognized school.
• Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) with AED certificates.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical clinic, hospital, or SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility) setting preferred
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending medical documentation.
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. (Training will be provided for our software).
• Ability to effectively present information, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate professionally with patients, medical professionals, and co-workers.
• Knowledge of all state and federal regulations pertaining to confidentiality as per HIPAA, treatment, and safety guidelines.
• Ability to anticipate patient needs, take proactive measures to meet those needs, and resolve issues within the scope of practice.
• Willingness to be a flexible, cooperative, and effective team member who assists others.
• Strongly preferred: Bilingual in Spanish/English.
