Position Description

The Institute is currently seeking to recruit a Deputy Chief Economist to join our Economic Research team. Reporting to and working closely with the IIF’s Managing Director and Chief Economist, s/he will be responsible for assisting in strategy for, and review of, economic analysis and reporting of more than 50 emerging market economies. S/he will also work to develop and contribute to IIF special projects, presentations, and research papers; assist in the coordination of the Economic Forum conferences; and assist in coordinating economics input for biannual membership meetings. This position will also supervise and oversee the promotion of staff development (e.g., train, develop, evaluate, and develop personal growth opportunities). 

Requirements 

Applicants should have a graduate degree, preferably a Ph.D., and at least 10-15 years of senior leadership in global macroeconomic analysis, preferably within the financial services industry or the international economic policy community. Demonstrated experience in developing innovative research products and conducting rigorous analysis, as well as experience working on South and East Asian countries, is a plus. Other requirements include exceptional written and oral communication skills along with sound quantitative, spreadsheet, and database abilities. Some international and domestic travel may be required.
