Institute for Rheumatology & Integrative Medicine is Hiring a Medical Assistant & Infusion Coordinator Near Pembroke Pines, FL

Requirements:

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Phlebotomy certified

· Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required

· Organized and able to multitask

Responsibilities:

Responsible for patient intake and triage. Obtaining authorizations for medications and medical procedures. Scheduling patients/procedures. Answer phone calls. Assists physicians with patient care and medical issues. Be comfortable drawing blood, handling urine and assisting with injections.

Additional responsibilities include:

· Counsel patients by conveying physician's orders and questions about procedures

· Verify patient demographics and insurance status

· Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.

· Phlebotomy certified

· Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.

· Assist in authorizing medical procedures, medications & lab requests

· Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

· Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

· Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
