How a Senior Network Engineer Will Make An Impact
- Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
- Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks
- Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
- Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed
- Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks
- Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
- Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
- Active Secret clearance (TS eligible)
- Must meet the certification requirement of DoD Directive 8140.01 and 8570.01-M or otherwise stated in individual task order.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNA) (Highly Preferred)
- Enterprise Level Network Experience
- Onsite in Hampton, Virginia
- BA/BS or equivalent, 5 years of experience
- While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
