LanceSoft Inc is Hiring a Data Center Technician Near Boydton, VA
As a Data Center Technician, you will work in a highly directed environment as part of an onsite team. Your assignments will include repair activities such as replaceable unit swapping, image loading, and unit testing using a detailed script. You will also perform other non-troubleshooting duties. Direction will be provided by script, help desk or service desk in a Next Business Day (NBD) and/or Same Business Day (SBD) service delivery environment.
Responsibilities:
Server Support, FRU replacements, deployments and other electronic equipment.
Takes service calls and performs incident specific activities as directed by Help Desk, Service Desk or script.
May perform routine installs, moves, adds and changes as part of a directed team, including: Complex server configuration and setup.
A certification desired but not required.
US Citizen preferred but not required.
Candidate must be able to work solo and follow directions given. This is a field service break-fix position inside a datacenter complex...it is not a help desk or remote support position.
Job Requirements:
Day to day handling of assigned drive replacements, upgrades when scheduled, RMA parts and closing calls real time.
