Mott MacDonald is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced Civil CAD Designerin infrastructure projects to join our growing South-Central teams in Penscola, FL.Come join our team and work with a collaborative group of professional engineers to improve the infrastructure of the surrounding communities.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Design projects for transportation, site, drainage, water, and wastewater.
• Collaborate with engineers and design team to advance and complete a variety of project types.
• Develop grading plans, alignments, profiles, cross sections, paving layouts, striping layouts, traffic control plans, erosion control plans, and pipe networks.
• Produce preliminary and final drawings in accordance with company and client standards.
• Calculate quantities for earthwork, asphalt, concrete, drainage structures, pipe, etc.
• Produce spreadsheets that summarize quantities and estimated unit costs.

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a civil designer.
• High school graduate.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Understanding of developing and supporting civil engineering drawings.
• Experience with file conversion between multiple digital environments.
• Strong verbal communication and time management skills.
• Preferences-
  • Technical degree in CADD drafting a plus.
  • Experience with Civil 3D, InRoads, and OpenRoads.
  • Previous experience training other designers.
  • Familiar with FDOT standards.
  • Experience in various infrastructure project types: Earthwork, Drainage, Highways/Road Design, Rail, Tunnels, Water and Waste Water Treatment, Pipelines, etc.
  • Experience using Data Management Systems: Bentley, ProjectWise, MS SharePoint, Autodesk.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and prioritize tasks in a logical order.
