Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processor I to support our client’s medical facility based in Seattle, WA 98122 . This is a 15-16-months assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location : 550 17th Ave Ste 201, Seattle, WA 98122

Duration : 16-17 months Contract (Possibilities of extension)

Shift  : Mon- Fri 8 am-5 pm

Payrate: $18-20/hr. on w2 without benefits/ *Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Details:

• The main function of a specimen processor is to perform specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operation procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

· Open specimens and pour off into secondary containers to prepare for analysis and testing.

· Verify patient demographic information matches the test requisition form submitted.

· Data entry of patient information into the computer system for tracking purposes.

· Hybrid type of specimen processor job. Candidate will be working the front desk, registering patients, collecting money if due, checking in patients.

· They will also be processing specimens, in regard to spinning samples, packaging and shipping.

Job Requirements:

• Previous medical or production experience is preferred.
• Proficient computer and typing skills.
• Standardized color vision test must be administered to evaluate if potential accommodation is needed for worker.
• Comfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samples.
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of time.
• Strong eye hand coordination to accurately identify specimens by touch and sight.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to problem solve.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
