Located in Santa Fe, NM. Working out of our Inn & Spa at Loretto.
Position Purpose:
The Hair Stylist will under the direction of the Regional Spa Director, maintain the quality and exceptional guest experience of the property Salon for facials, haircuts, manicure/ pedicures, or waxing. The Hair Stylist is an essential support to Heritage Hotels & Resorts in creating unforgettable spa experiences for guests.
Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:Work under direction of the Regional Spa Director.Maintain positive and professional approach with employees, coworkers, and guests.Communicate regularly with all staff on property regarding appointments and required timeframe for smooth workflow.Greet clients in a courteous manner for all steps of their salon experience.Cross-trained to perform all services within a unisex salon operation as determined by license and certification.Must be proficient in all facets of proper skin care i.e., anatomy, physiology, chemistry, masks, packs, cleansing, massage and superfluous hair removal.Consult with the guest to analyze treatment required to ensure expectations are met for a pleasurable visit, may include site tour.Prepare workspace and equipment, treatment areas and supplies daily, sterilize all instruments in accordance to the law, and complete all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts.Must be able to stand for long periods of time, and have full range of motion.On-time attendance is necessary, and uninterrupted work is required.Keep current and up to date knowledge of changing trends and developments in the department.Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at any of the propertiesHC3
Requirements:
Current license, Cosmetologist as required by the State.Must be a passionate people person, as this job is highly interactive and requires superb customer service skills salon experience a plus.Friendly and warm demeanor, excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask while maintaining poise.Competent with computer technology to easily learn reservation management system, the point of sale system to process payments, and Microsoft Office Suite for basic document manipulation and printing.Ability to work on your feet or sit for long periods of time.Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 30 pounds frequently.Minimum of 1 year salon experience required; spa or hospitality experience a plus.High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.CPR Certification a plus.NM Safe Certified Hotelier, Inspiring Our Communities, & Celebrating Local Artisans.Heritage Hotels & Resorts Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
