Job Description:
The Event Assistant will support the Event Coordinator and team in the planning, organization, and execution of events. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks and deadlines with ease. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for event planning, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with vendors, venues, and clients to ensure all event details are accurate and meet client expectations.
- Prepare event materials, including invitations, agendas, name tags, and signage.
- Manage event logistics such as transportation, accommodations, catering, and audio-visual equipment.
- Support on-site event setup, registration, and breakdown.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and guests during events.
- Assist in post-event activities, including debriefs, evaluations, and follow-up communications.
- Maintain accurate records and files related to each event.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
