**Mostly remote - must have ability to come onsite periodically in Atlanta, GA.**

Our transportation client is looking for a Senior AIX System Administrator to join their team.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Pay Rate: $65.00 - $80.00/hr on W2

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.

Responsibilities of the Senior AIX System Administrator:

• Manage a number of assigned servers and applications, backup on other servers and applications
• Provide standard trouble shooting procedures for hardware and software problems
• Provide software maintenance
• Create configuration documents
• Schedule 24/7 on-call support
• Create technical diagrams (server environments, relationship diagrams, workflows, etc.)

Requirements of the Senior AIX System Administrator:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 6-8 years of enterprise AIX administration in a corporate environment
• Extensive experience with IBM AIX and VIO server
• Extensive experience with IBM PowerVM, creation and management of virtual servers, Hardware Management Consoles
• Extensive experience with Live Partition Mobility
• Extensive experience with NPIV
• Extensive experience using SAN disks from multiple SAN vendors
• Experience with writing scripts using Korn shell and Perl
• Experience with CommVault and IBM Tivoli Monitoring
• Experience with troubleshooting software and hardware problems
• Experience installing IBM APARs, PTFs, maintenance upgrades
• Experience with TCP/IP and networking
