Minimum Qualifications:
ADN
Minimum of 3 of the most 5 years experience as a Critical Care Registered Nurse or Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Working knowledge of management principles
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Excellent critical thinking skills
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
BLS/ACLS
PALS-required within the first 12 months of placement in the position
One of the following:
Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama
CCRN or CEN certfication within 1 year of placement into the position
Responsibilities:The Resource RN collaborates with appropriate disciplines to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge in support of the medical and nursing plans of care. Makes independent judgement/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient issues. Provides house wide support for assessments, Code Blue events, sepsis codes, and a variety of staff needs. Assists in the coordination of patient care activities in various nursing units, ensuring efficient assignment of staff based on patient acuity and staff competency which meet Infirmary Health's (IH) standards of quality, efficiency, and desired outcomes.
