Sayres Defense is Hiring a Senior Acquisitions Logistics Analyst with Security Clearance Near Mobile, AL

Sayres, a leader in defense support services to the DOD, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Acquisitions Logistics Analyst with a Secret Clearance in Mobile, AL. This position would be hybrid out of the Mobile, AL office. Responsibilities: As a Senior Acquisitions Logistics Analyst in the shipbuilding industry, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities and projects. Your expertise will contribute to the development of innovative process improvements and solutions. Your duties will encompass, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Leadership: Assist in planning, executing, integrating, and overseeing all ILS activities, ensuring efficient life cycle support for commercial ships, US Navy ships, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirements. 2. Policy and Regulatory Compliance: Provide in-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition policies, MSC policies and procedures, and other applicable statutory or regulatory requirements to ensure adherence to relevant regulations. 3. U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and Safety Regulations: Offer expertise in USCG regulations, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) rules, Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) issues, or other regulatory body requirements as needed. 4. Supervisory Experience: Lead and mentor teams effectively, drawing from your minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in relevant environments. 5. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate logistics concepts effectively, including interaction with SES/Flag level personnel to facilitate seamless collaboration. 6. First-Hand Experience: Preferred experience with USN Service Craft/Auxiliary Ships or Small Boats to bring firsthand insights to the analysis and decision-making process. Additional Duties: 7. Budget Management: Assist in budget management for logistics support activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. 8. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments related to logistics support and recommend mitigation strategies. 9. Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of logistics support materials. 10. Sustainability and Environmental Considerations: Address sustainability and environmental factors in logistics planning and execution to meet eco-friendly objectives. Minimum Skill Sets of Qualified Candidates: - Bachelor's degree in logistics, engineering, or business management disciplines.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in Navy program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management.
- Active Secret Clearance verifiable in DISS.
- Supervisory experience leading teams in relevant environments.
- Experience with Navy procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); Military Sealift Command (MSC) ILS procedures and processes; Foreign Military Sales. Preferred Skill Sets of Qualified Candidates: - First-hand experience with USN Service Craft/Auxiliary Ships or Small Boats.
