**Job Description and Responsibilities**

The global Product organization delivers the holistic product strategy for Visa and accelerates the seamless delivery of our products into markets. We are at the core of Visas overall vision to be the best way to pay and be paid for everyone, everywhere. The Product Delivery team is accountable for successful commercial launches in close collaboration with Product teams and major ecosystem partners. We are seeking a lead for a new team of two in San Francisco responsible across the portfolio of products and initiatives for the LAC region.

**Position Summary**

This role will help define and execute on the approach for how Visa Regional Product and Solutions rapidly develops, deploys, and refines products within an agile environment both within the region and in partnership with global product teams and the other regions. The Regional Product Delivery team is part of the global Product Delivery organization that works across Product to transform the organization, establish overall Product practices, operating models, and support LAC Product teams in rapidly developing the right products, with the right market launch strategy to drive commercial success.

Reporting to the leader of the Regions Product Delivery team and reporting dotted line to the LAC product head of business operations, we are seeking a Director who can help drive critical Product activities, both regionally and as part of global initiatives, in a complex, matrixed environment. The ideal candidate will be a structured, analytical thinker with excellent communication skills. S/he has the ability to make the complex simple.

Extensive experience in product development, management and/or delivery is critical. S/he is thoughtful, curious, and analytical with a desire to make an impact. Experience in todays complex, global payments ecosystem is a foundational aspect of the role. Experience managing direct reports is also important.

**How you will make an impact**

Leadership

* Lead the LAC Product delivery team within the broader Regional Product Delivery team and operating as part of the LAC regional product organization

* Lead the governance forum with the LAC Product leadership team and key cross-functional leaders to prioritize and resource product efforts to drive both short- and long-term value and to confirm product readiness before any LAC market-launch

* Influence Product and cross-functional teams on the adoption of new ideas and concepts that accelerate the path to market for new product / services including major product transformation initiatives

* Represent Product delivery / LAC Product in various project governance and inter-department forums

Regional Product Delivery Practices

* Lead the implementation, and ongoing management of an end-to-end product development and delivery framework based on the global product delivery processes that supports both efforts driven globally for launch in LAC and those driven within the Region

* Provide expert guidance to product teams on product development and delivery strategies and activities to improve overall practice maturity

* Partner with regional and market product teams to accelerate delivery of new products and enhancements to complete pre-launch activities in line with global, regional, and market requirements

* Provide expert guidance to senior product leaders and their teams on the application of product roadmaps and planning frameworks and processes and provide direct support on those applications

* Roll-out commercialization best practices within LAC to ensure products can scale through local implementations

* Maintain the comprehensive LAC Product roadmap aligned with multi-year plans and AOP across the full LAC Product portfolio and tied to overall strategy in partnership with the Strategy and Business Operations teams who own those strategy, planning, and scorecard processes

* Build strong relationships across the organization at multiple levels to drive results

Global-Regional and Cross regional collaboration

* Contribute to pan-regional initiatives to drive increased transparency and collaboration across Regional Product teams including new product / product enhancement ideas, commercialization, and best practices

* Support and drive where needed global / regional product team engagement throughout product development and delivery of products being developed by global for LAC launch

* Act as a front door for LAC product where global product teams may not know where to go to start regional engagement

* Achieve standardized commercialization practices through collaboration with the global product operations and cross-functional teams

**Qualifications**

Basic Qualifications

10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Must be fluent in Spanish (fluency in Portuguese is an additional benefit, but not required)

Preferred Qualifications

You have 10 years of experience successfully developing, building, launching and commercializing technology products. Your experience working in an Agile organization is a plus

You have past functional experience or engagement with Product Management, Operations, Strategy, or Consulting

You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment navigating ambiguity successfully, most likely in product, product development, or large complex projects in a matrix organization
