IHC in Seymour, Indiana (Jackson County) is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dedicated and talented team!

Overview: The Dental Assistant contributes to IHC’s mission and goals of client satisfaction, quality of care, and cost competitiveness by performing basic dental procedures to increase Dentists’ productivity. The Dental Assistant with Expanded functions ensures that the dental treatment room and all instruments are sterilized and maintained, performs expanded laboratory procedures, including pouring impressions and preparing casting models, and ensures inventory control and management.

• Education: Graduation from a recognized Dental Assistant program
• Certification: Proof of current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AED included)
• Required to provide education, dates, and any certificates at the time of application
• Expanded functions certificate
• Current Radiography license
• Coronal polishing certificate required within 6 months of hire date
• Experience with electronic health records preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
• Interacts with colleagues and patients in a professional manner
• Possess excellent communication skills
