Position Summary:

Leads the services and retail staff in the promoting and providing of sales, services, and products that exceed customer expectations. Drives revenue and oversee the department's operations, financial levels, and ensures excellent customer service. Responsible for the overall direction and daily operations of Rainwater Wellness providing leadership for the department in the fulfillment of brands goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor operational activities and issues daily and shift by shift within the spa facilities
  • Maintain current knowledge of all spa services, pricings, offerings, schedules, specials, and other services
  • Oversee the maintenance of the spa including overall cleanliness, service and economic use of resources and supplies
  • Responsible for business growth and financial performance of retail operation.
  • Develop and maintain retail displays that attract diverse customer base, maintaining product tags, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Customer Service- Directs the team to handle all customer inquiries, and requests, and quickly address complaints and concerns with customer retention in mind while maintaining the best interest of the business.
  • Maintain inventory that is reflective of business and target audience monitoring inventory levels, movement and retail margins.
  • Oversees all purchasing/ordering in a timely manner to ensure supply inventory is adequate to meet seasonal customer demand while also controlling costs.
  • Handles all supervisory issues, disciplinary actions, personnel matters and customer complaints. Ensures all actions are consistent, timely and in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for scheduling, assignment of duties, training, and evaluations of wellness team
  • Works with contracted practitioners through collective to ensure all information is up-to-date, expectations are outlined, and use of space is defined.
  • Responsible for department sales goals, proper handling of cash receipts, and properly recording of sales transactions.
  • Develops both short- and long-term goals and strategies to ensure financial return, business growth, and positioning within market.
  • Works directly with accounting department to ensure monthly reconciliation of inventory, close of month, and proper reporting in accordance with GAPP.
  • Maintains good communication with co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Sports, Healthcare or related field, with a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience required, preferably in a high-end spa, fitness, hotel environment. Equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirement. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation. Native American preference will be given. Spa Manager Certification required or obtained within one year of hire.




Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:

  • Knowledgeable of spa industry, various treatments, therapies and spa operation. Knowledgeable of business principals and techniques with the ability to use information and data to conduct analysis on business development and growth.
  • Knowledgeable of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with ability to respond to accounting requests in a timely manner.
  • Knowledgeable in the operational dynamics in all areas of the spa
  • Knowledgeable in customer services skills and techniques with ability to use suggestive sales techniques to enhance customer experience and sales.
  • Ability to make rational business decisions, demonstrate analytical thinking, and acute problem solving
  • Ability to develop and execute targeted marketing initiatives to drive sales.
  • Ability to utilize exceptional interpersonal and guest service skills to ensure that all spa employees provide every guest with friendly, courteous, professional and timely service.

  • Ability to lead sales team through various leadership and motivational techniques to inspire through accountability measures.
  • Ability to build professional business relationships with vendors for training, product knowledge and to drive sales
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Skilled in staying extremely organized and planning effectively.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.


Work Environment:

Work is generally performed in a retail and spa setting with a moderate noise level. Evening and/or weekend work may be required.


Salary : $47,000 - $60,000
