Job Title: Manager Equipment Engineering
Location : This position is based in our Campbell, California offices. This position is On-site and full-time

What You’ll Do
Oversee and provide leadership for equipment services including but not limited to calibration, preventive maintenance, selection, procurement, maintenance, and machine shop. Contributes to long term strategic planning for equipment related to product and process development, manufacturing capacity and automation. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditure.
  • Partner with R&D, Process Development, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure proper selection of equipment to meet design, process, yield and throughput goals.
  • Ensure that all equipment is installed, qualified, validated, and maintained in compliance with the company Quality System and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all equipment meets applicable local and state requirements for safety and guarding.
  • Work with cross functional peers to develop and implement comprehensive timelines and project plans; and to ensure their execution to achieve company goals for development, commercialization, and production of stable product(s).
  • Provide proactive management, coaching, and leadership to staff, including team building and mentoring.
  • Recruit and retain a team of employees whose skills meet the needs of the organization. and who are engaged in the goals of the company.
  • In conjunction with the Head of Operations, Head of R&D, and Finance, determine and manage departmental budgets.
  • Support continuous improvement through design, process development, and manufacturing strategies.
  • Ensure standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production.
  • Initiate recommendations on purchase of new equipment and improvements to plant property
What You’ll Bring
  • BS/MS in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8 years in medical device or related industry and a minimum of 5 years’ direct supervisory/managerial experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of process development
  • Experience working in compliance with Quality Systems designed to meet regulatory requirements, such as but not limited to FDA QSR ISO 13485, MDD etc.
  • Previous experience managing outside equipment services
  • Experience with MS Project or other planning tools
  • Strong and engaging leadership skills for managing teams
  • Previous experience with the development of project plans, etc.
  • Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) required
  • Excellent presentation skills are required
  • Ability to work independently or in team setting required

Salary Range: $142,000 – 154,000/annually
