About Us

We are a state of the art facility. We are seeking a full time Bilingual Experienced Medical Assistant Manager. The ideal applicant should be able to speak Spanish fluently. We recently won the Doctors of Distinction Award as the Best Urgent Care Center in Westchester and Fairfield County for 2020. There was a Town of Ossining celebration where our urgent care center was recognized as “Local Heroes” by the Hispanic Parents Community of Ossining, in attendance was Assemblywoman Sandy Galef and Ossining Village Board of Trustees/Counsel of Ossining members Omar Lopez and Manuel R. Quezada.

Position

We are seeking a Full Time Bilingual Medical Assistant Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate must be able to provide complete medical care to patients and assist with administrative and day to day task in busy Urgent Care setting.

Responsibilities:

Medical office managers coordinate medical and health services in a facility or medical practice. A big part of their job is keeping up to date on changing healthcare technology and regulations. The responsibilities of a medical office manager can include:

  • Training, supervising, and scheduling staff
  • Maintaining and organizing records
  • Improving quality and efficiency
  • Seeing and triaging patients, performing vital signs, ekgs, testing, blood draws etc.
  • Inventory
  • Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards
  • Provide informative material for patients
  • Ensuring the facility is compliant with applicable law and regulations

A medical office manager position isn’t easy; an office manager is a busy person who wears many different hats. The medical office manager’s competence and performance significantly affect the facility’s success, and the quality of care patients receive.

Qualification

  • Proven work experience as a medical assistant manager/management experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a medical assistant/a minimum of 5 years with clinical medical experience
  • The ideal candidate will have urgent care experience.
  • Knowledge of administrative processes and principles
  • Ability to handle medical records discreetly
  • EHR experience
  • Knowledge of medical issues and terminology
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Communication skills and a customer service orientation
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations.
  • Ability to speak spanish fluently.
  • Employment physical exam clearance will be required prior to starting, including recent PPD/QuantiFERON from the last 6 months.

Hours: Full time positions are available. All applicants must be able to work weekend and evening hours. The facility is open weekdays from 2pm-8pm and Saturday from 11am-3:30pm, the manager is expected to be there from open until finished. The time you get done is whenever all work for the day is complete and is often 2-3 hours after closing time. There will be days you will finish earlier and days where you may need to stay later. There will also be day where you may need to start or get work earlier. While somewhat negotiable, the ideal candidate will be able to work 5 days a week.

Compensation: will be based on experienced. However applicant can expect to be paid around $27-28/hour with the possibility of a set salary. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
