Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Software Quality Engineer who possesses a history of developing technologies and tools designed to validate the performance and scalability of extensive enterprise systems. Collaborating closely with key members of our Platform team, the ideal candidate for this role is a Software Quality Engineer with a proficiency in benchmarking web and database applications, test automation, performance analysis, and capacity management which will be used to conduct benchmarking and testing activities on our platform to address the ever-expanding requirements of our most significant clients.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be an integral part of establishing best practices on the Platform Engineering team.
  • Specify, design, develop, integrate and maintain test automation frameworks and tools
  • Implement and execute test strategies on all supported platforms and languages to help improve overall quality and test code coverage.
  • Help debug through manual testing, automated scripting, and report investigation.
  • Work closely with the team in a hybrid environment based in Cambridge, MA.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, etc as needed to ensure full Platform functionality and optimization.

Qualifications :

  • 5 years of experience with a bachelor's/masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering / Testing, and/or Tools Development teams for Enterprise
  • 5 years of experience working with Python, GRPC/API Gateway, Kubernetes, Unit Tests in Python, or Pytest Integration Tests in Python
  • Understanding fundamentals of design patterns and testing best practices
  • Hands on experience on benchmarking system performance, database performance analysis, capacity sizing and optimization.
  • Excellent communication and customer skills, problem solving, conflict management, time management and interpersonal skills required.
  • Solid background with agile software development methodologies (e.g. scrum)
  • Understanding of database performance optimization technique
