Database Administrator at Vista Outdoor in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description We are looking for a Database Administrator to join our Outdoor Products team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and installing databases while keeping security, performance, reliability, and uptime a priority.? You will advise management on new solutions, process improvements, and finding new technologies to further improve our level of service.? This position engages in architecture definition, assists with budgets and vendor management, planning, technology direction, project management as well as mentoring of team members.? We will look to you to maintain?keen?awareness of advanced technologies?and incorporate these in our designs?as appropriate.? This position reports to the Director, IT Infrastructure and allows you the flexibility to work from your home office or can be based out of one of our many locations around the US. As the Database Administrator , you will have an opportunity to: Works closely with clients and?partners?to capture business requirements and project scope; setting team's priorities and deliverables to best serve the overall business's?objectives. Design, install, test, secure, and maintain databases and related?applications.? Patch and upgrade database management system software versions. Upgrade/downgrade software editions.? Perform?database?backupand?recovery.? Manage database?access.? Audit and Monitor server resource usage.? Audit and Monitor database activity.? Develop technology?roadmaps.? Perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose?problems. Analyze?and resolve?server and database performance?issues.? Solve complex problems with many?variables.? Report system status to key stakeholders.? Provide written project scope and updates on key projects to?management.? Facilitate internal and external audits and provides supporting documentation as?required. Lead and support?continuous?improvement?opportunities. You have : 3-5 years?of?experience?designing?and supporting?SQL Server?systems?(all versions).? Expertise?in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) project deployment?and migration (.ispac?extension). Troubleshooting, diagnosing and solving SSIS package execution and data transmission?issues. Configuring SQL Server Agent jobs and scheduling SSIS packages.
