The Senior Salesforce Solution Architect must be able to meet the key criteria below:
Location: 100% remote
Years' Experience: 10 years of experience
Education: Bachelor degree required
Security Clearance: IBR is a federal contractor. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
NOTE: United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.

Position Overview
Do you want to help IBR build next-generation capabilities to support the Air Force? A Senior Salesforce Architect will design, configure, build, and implement applications on the Salesforce platform using Salesforce declarative capabilities and custom coding capabilities (Apex, Lightning Web Components) when necessary. You will meet customer goals by facilitating the technological architecture and design, configuring, and architecting Salesforce solutions to achieve desired outcomes. They should be able to work within a team environment utilizing DevSecOps processes and tools. They should be able to collaborate with customers and internal engineering teams across the SDLC to deliver solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Build and implement custom applications using the declarative customization capabilities of the Salesforce platform
  • Evaluate client requirements, use cases, and other inputs to create a solution roadmap to meet client needs. Advises on Cloud requirements and performance capabilities.
  • Utilize custom coding capabilities (Apex, Lightning Web Components) to implement technical solutions where necessary
  • Will provide architect, design, build, and implement applications as well as be hands on with development
  • Integrate Salesforce based solutions with external systems that provide functionality such as data interfaces, auditing/logging solutions, authentication solutions, etc.
  • Apply expert knowledge of Salesforce product capabilities, including plug-ins, to advise on product selections and integrations
  • Apply workflow, process, and data integration expertise to design an end-to-end solution
  • Work within and across teams to define, develop, and refine customer requirements
  • Must be able to assess business and technical requirements and identify process gaps
  • Work closely with testing staff to develop well written and defined test scripts for user stories
  • Determine business, functional, and technical requirements and participate in application design, configuration, testing, and deployment
  • Participate in efforts to develop and execute testing, training, and documentation
  • Produce deliverables such as solution definitions, effort estimations, requirements, test scripts, specifications, and status reports
  • Ensure documentation of the steps for testing
  • Supervise the configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Salesforce
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Work with a team to groom and refine the Salesforce product backlog in liaison with stakeholders on the project
  • Contribute to and review user stories and other requirements documentation
  • Ensure success and acceptance criteria are defined for each story
  • Build and maintain trust and respect with clients
  • Lead teams and review solutions and recommend process integration, reporting, and data integration improvements
  • Will serve as the Salesforce Subject Matter Expert and be able to mentor junior level developers
Qualifications
  • 10 years IT related experience, 3 years of experience with Salesforce
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Salesforce development experience required
  • Will have prior Lead Architect/Developer experience and has demonstrated successful leadership
  • Experience collaborating with customers and internal engineering teams across the SDLC to deliver solutions
  • Experience with technical architecture, designing, building, and implementing custom applications using the declarative customization capabilities of the Salesforce Platform
  • Experience architecting and designing systems to work together
  • Experience with the creation of roadmaps
  • Experience with enterprise integration
  • Experience with Lightning and APEX
  • Salesforce implementation experience with at least ten implementations
  • Salesforce experience with CRM use cases with preferences in recruiting and onboarding HR type of business function a bonus
  • Experience serving as a Salesforce Administrator, Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud, and Platform App builder
  • Software development educational background and experience with development languages such as Java, JavaScript, Angular, Bootstrap, AJAX, jQuery, etc
  • Microservices/API experience (SOAP/REST) a bonus
  • Salesforce certification(s) required
  • Experience with Agile software development and DevSecOps a bonus
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and soft skills
  • Ability to produce quality technical documentation and analysis
  • Experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed system and functional designs
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While this position primarily involves sedentary work in an office environment and/or home-office environment, there are some physical demands associated with the role, including:
  • Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment or materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required.
  • Work may need to be performed in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and rapid judgements.
  • Additionally, flexible work arrangements may be available based on business needs.
  • Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of clients in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
