Substitute Teacher:

• Carries out the lesson plans in the absence of the regular classroom teacher and performs the duties of teaching in accordance with the district's philosophy, goals, and objectives as outlined in laws and policies.
• Instructs assigned classes in designated locations and times.
• Establishes and maintains order in the classroom.
• Maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
• Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment, and facilities.
• Provides adequate and timely feedback to classroom teacher. Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and board policies.
• Cooperates with school personnel.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with other employees and students.
• Assists with clerical office tasks as needed.
• Reporting to the principa; or his/her designee at the beginning and end of the school day.

This is an onsite position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Education

Bachelor's degree required.

Experience

At least 2 years of experience working in a school.

Experience working with students with learning disabilities preferred.
