Chicago-based Horizon Realty Group is a family-owned and operated property management company that buys, remodels and rents updated, high-value apartments in a variety of iconic buildings. Currently, with 28 buildings in Chicago, Horizon also owns one building in Evanston.

Horizon has a strong history of reviving vintage and historic buildings – paying homage to the past while adding amenities that serve its residents well into the future. Horizon has invested $50 million in renovations to 13 building in just the past five years.

Summary:

As a Door Attendant, you are one of the first impressions that residents, customers, and
Vendors have when dealing with Horizon. As the face of Horizon, you must conduct yourself with professionalism and convey Horizon’s mission to provide our residents with the very best living experience the city has to offer.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor all traffic, residents, and guests, entering and exiting the building lobby through maintaining logs of all activity for the Property Manager.

2. Greet all residents and guests that come into the property in a friendly and professional manner while opening doors and operating the elevators onsite.

3. Handle all packages, hailing of cabs, and ensuring unauthorized persons do not enter the building.
4. Maintain a clean and trash free lobby to create a clean and welcoming living environment.
5. Confidentiality and discretion are required at all times in this position.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience as a door attendant is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and organize tasks in order of importance.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour
