Heritage Valley Sewickley Inpatient Pharmacy is hiring an inpatient CASUAL pharmacy technician to join the pharmacy team. Pharmacy technician participate in daily restocking of automated dispensing cabinets, medication packaging, IV sterile compounding, among other responsibilities.

Hours of Operation:6:00am to 10:00pm, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays based on availability.

Department: Inpatient Pharmacy
Work Hours: Casual. Various 8 hour shifts between the hours of 6:00am and 10:00pm, rotating weekends and holidays

As part of the patient care team, the pharmacy technician provides assistance to the pharmacist and requires a commitment to continually support pharmacy services in order to provide quality care and efficient operations while considering fiscal responsibility. 

Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent. A commensurate combination of education/experience will be considered.

Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

Preferred: (in addition to required qualifications above):
Graduate of a certified Pharmacy Technician’s training program and one (1) year experience in Hospital Pharmacy Setting as a Pharmacy Technician.
