Job Summary
Receives, greets and directs patients, visitors and hospital personnel in a courteous manner. Maintains an efficient work environment. Organizes clerical and support activities on unit communicating messages accurately and timely.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required:
• Broad background or training in medical office procedures and standards; organizational skills.
• Visual, auditory and speech acuity requisite to verbal and written communication with patients, families, physicians, and other persons with whom contact is part of work activities.
• Computer software knowledge preferred.
• CPR required.
• Cross training is required.

Working Conditions:

• Requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, talking, hearing and moderate lifting (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly) of clients and equipment.
• Risks exposure to communicable or infectious disease.
• Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change) and to atmospheric conditions (one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation).
