- Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure.
- Translate user requests into technical diagnoses and develop technical solutions to meet user needs.
- Develop migration strategies for transitioning existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal disruption.
- Evaluate new technologies or equipment to enhance Agency standard solutions.
- Provide support for hardware installation, including servers and network infrastructure setup.
- Set up storage solutions such as network-attached storage (NAS) to meet data storage needs.
- Implement security best practices, including PKI certificate generation, deployment, and maintenance.
- Utilize Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C for automation and system management tasks.
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, an Associate's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance, and/or systems engineering, with specific experience in network or system administration.
- Strong experience with Linux operating systems.
- Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management.
- Experience with hardware installation and setup, including servers and network infrastructure.
- Experience setting up network-attached storage (NAS) for data storage solutions.
- Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages such as Bash, Bourne, or C.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Experience deploying and maintaining nginx web server software.
- Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite for containerization and system management.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT, and Ansible, as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience with SELinux and Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) compliance.
