Cabell Huntington Hospital seeks a casual, as needed Patient Transfer Coordinator to work in our Patient Transfer Center.

The Patient Transfer Coordinator will be responsible for, upon physician approval :

• Arranging and facilitating all facets of patient transfers into Cabell Huntington Hospital.
• Additionally, they will assist with the transfer of patient from the facility.
• In an effort to provide exceptional customer service, the Patient Transfer Coordinator will provide daily follow-up on patients referred to Cabell Huntington.
• The coordinator will also work with the Director of Business Development to assist with marketing efforts to hospitals in the region.

To be considered, candidates must have a minimum of three years experience in critical care and / or emergency nursing.

Job Requirements

Emergency and / or critical care nursing experience with a clear understanding of appropriate patient triage. Appreciation of the importance of utilization review and / or quality assurance related activities Basic computer operation / keyboard experience Proven history of excellent customer service and communication skills

Special licenses, registration or certification :

• Active, unrestricted registered nurse license in West Virginia
• Preference will be given to those holding Certified Emergency Nurse and / or Critical Care Registered Nurse credentials
• Preference will be given to those holding ACLS, BTLS / PHTLS, PALS / PEPP credentials

Education

Preference will be given to those holding a Bachelor' degree or higher

Level and Type of Experience

• Minimum of three years experience in critical care and / or emergency nursing
• Preference will be given to those with a proven history of excellent customer service
