Humboldt Park Health is Hiring a Patient Services Representative - Fulltime Near Chicago, IL
Position Highlights:
- Greets all patients and visitors and answers incoming calls for the ambulatory clinic site of care
- Obtains and records demographic and insurance information
- Schedules patient appointments, procedures and/or diagnostic tests with appropriate physicians and/or departments and obtains pre-authorization for ancillary or referral appointments
- Collects necessary payment and acts as a clinic-based resource and liaison to the hospital business office for patients who may have questions related to their physician and/or hospital bills
- Professionally and effectively communicates information to internal and external customers, while maintaining a focus on patient service and patient confidentiality
- Performs accurate and complete registration for appointments
- Verifies patient insurance for all services rendered and obtains required referrals or pre-authorization as needed
- Provides and contributes to the delivery of a positive patient experience and receives and communicates all complaints to the manager
- Prepares charts or patient records for clinical team as needed
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills is required
- Customer service experience required
- Healthcare experience preferred
