The Area Director of Operations is responsible for administration and/or management of branches within an assigned territory. The Area Director of Operations requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities correlate across Home Health segments and/or enterprise wide.
As an Area Director of Operations , you will:
  • Manage Branch Directors in all operational areas including process and personnel management, sales growth and achieving financial goals.Develop annual branch budget and monitor expenditures.Analyze gross profit factors, market conditions, business volume/mix, competition, and operational costs.
  • Partner with the Area Vice President of Operations to manage branch operations to include all clinical, financial, growth, risk, and compliance initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales counterpart to ensure continued branch growth by expanding new and existing client base.Perform ongoing assessments of market trends and competitive landscape in support of growth strategy and provides oversight of service delivery execution.
  • Create, develop, and maintain effective and efficient operational processes and systems that are aligned with the organization's business objectives. Create an environment focused on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that all workflows, programs, policies, procedures, and practices are in alignment with all local, state, and federal guidelines to maintain the highest quality of care.
  • Implement staff development including orientation, in-service education, and continuing education. Encourage others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities, facilitating the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace.
  • Promote team cohesion, provide mentorship, and motivate teams to reach their full potential. Partner with clinical teams to ensure quality deliverables are designed to oversee patient intake process and are safely and effectively meeting the needs of the patient.
  • Foster and build positive relationships within the organization.
Use your skills to make an impact
Required Experience/Skills:
  • Home Health experience, required.
  • Must reside within eastern North Carolina region and provide flexibility to travel within the state with minimal notice.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalentyears of relevant experience, required.
  • Active and unrestricted RN License for the state of North Carolina, required.
  • Multi-site Home Health branch management and operations experience, required.
  • Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) software and OASIS, required.
  • Experience with CMS/Medicare regulations and accreditation standards, required.
  • CMS PDGM billing experience, required.
  • Current or recent experience managing a minimum of 5M in healthcare revenue, required.
  • Success in revenue growth and development/execution of market planning strategies.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of building and nurturing cohesive teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with various levels of staff and leadership.
Additional Information:
  • Work Environment: Hybrid (Remote and Field-based)
  • Travel Expectations: Up to 80% of time.
  • Normal Hours of Operation: M-F / 8a-5p (ET)

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$112,400 - $154,900 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
