Huen Electric has extensive experience completing successful electrical construction projects and telecommunications for general contractors, commercial and industrial facility owners, local governments, and developers. Huen Electric also provides design/assist expertise, from the preparation of cost estimates and controls to value engineering and preconstruction planning.

PAY: $18-$22 per hour (determined by job function/department)

Essential Functions

• The BIM Specialist performs technical tasks in Revit software
• Work with office and project staff to prepare BIM models of new and existing electrical systems within commercial buildings
• These models are used to provide project coordination with other trades, dimensioned shop drawings for prefabrication and field installation, takeoffs using Revit Schedules, assist with preconstruction efforts, and as-built record drawings.
• Perform modeling primarily utilizing Revit and other software programs
• Collaboration will be accomplished through the application NavisWorks Manage while performing Coordination / Clash detection
• Participation in the Lunch & Learn internship program provided by the MYR Group Internship Leadership team.
• Prior to the end of their internship, the intern will create and present a self-reflection project detailing their gained industry knowledge, future career goals, as well as personal and professional growth. The presentation will be provided in PowerPoint and presented to their direct management team.

Qualifications

• College sophomore or above working towards a related undergraduate degree or be currently enrolled in or attending trade school. If you are a recent graduate, you must be within 1 year of your graduation date.
• No experience required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare and give presentations.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
