Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. Position Overview

This role will supervise a team and produce required components while pursuing continuous improvement in areas such as scrap reduction and effectivity increases, while minimizing cost. This is an on-site position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead teams that are focused on the primary purposes of daily operation through safety, quality, service, and productivity levels within budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensure hourly workforce is flexible and properly trained.
  • Support efforts to maintain ISO certification.
  • Develop and initiate cost reduction measures.
  • Must handle the interpersonal aspect of the job including disciplinary activity, coordination with other supervisors, work rule enforcement, and labor relations.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to travel on business related trips; ability to move to various locations within the Company; ability to communicate; ability to work on a personal computer or other related equipment as required.. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • 1-3 years manufacturing supervisor experience required.
