The bulk material handling sales engineerwill work with our field sales personnel to grow our sales in unit handlingconveyors and systems for new and existing customers. They willaccomplish this through direct sales calls throughout the assigned Purvisgeographical area and via electronic means (Teams, phone, video chat). They will assist with new applications (sizing, specifying, and designing) andexisting applications (troubleshooting, repair, or replace). Additionally, they will support our internal engineering design teams inassisting in the design and application of bulk material handling.
The day-to-day work of the ApplicationSales Engineer involves meeting with customers and/or team members, providingtechnical advice and assistance on product selection and sizing, creating proposalsor assisting in proposals with suppliers and team members, providing trainingto customers and team members, and assisting with product-specific marketingsuch as eCommerce.
As an Application Sales Engineer, yourresponsibilities will include but are not limited to:
•Directly participate in sales efforts to close orders
•Coordinatebulk material handling bulk material handling with various Branches andRegional Managers
•Identifytarget accounts and prospects
•Workwith the marketing team to produce marketing materials and events promotingunit and package handling.
•Providemarketing suggestions for social media posts and other digital content
•UtilizeAutoCAD, Solidworks, and manufacturer-provided software such as HEROES or HyCAD
•Provideadvanced-level technical application support via phone, video conference, or inperson
•Staycurrent on new products and technologies and educate Customers and Purvis TeamMembers about these new developments
•Determinefinal disposition of warranty claims and work with suppliers to resolvedifficult cases
•Produceand present technical training for Customers and Purvis Team Members about bulkmaterial handling products.
Other duties as assigned by Management.
Skills & Abilities
•Strongknowledge of bulk material handling principles and creative problem-solving
•Strongcustomer service and communication skills
•Strongwork ethic and attention to detail
•Abilityto read and understand technical drawings
•Proficiencies: Computer Drafting Software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD), Microsoft Office, Teams
•Gooddriving record
Education & Experience
•Prefera B.S. in Engineering or Mechatronics, or equivalent experience
•Five(5) years of bulk material handling work
•Backgroundin unit and package handling conveyors and systems a plus
Job Type: Full time, 8hour days M-F
Travel: up to 50% domestic
Pay: Commensurate withexperience, car provided
