Chill, relaxed, happy family looking to hire a Nanny/Family Assistant in Brooklyn, New York.

The Ideal Candidate: Child-related duties may include tasks such as:- child's meal preparation and feeding - helping child get to sleep / nap- bathing and dressing child- taking child outside and arranging playdates- dropping off / picking up for preschool, classes or other arranged activities- helping teach the child manners and boundaries- monitoring and supporting child's physical and intellectual development- communicating with parents about child and work with them to set expectations and routines for childHousekeeping duties may include tasks such as:- pet care (changing the litter box and refilling water and food bowls; occasional walking of the dog if needed)- household laundry - tidying up the apartment in between deep cleanings - preparing snacks/meals for the child and/or family- grocery shopping. (Household tasks/cooking/grocery shopping isn't expected to happen when child is in nannies care. There will be times the child will be with mom and in the Fall going to preschool)

We may at times ask the nanny-housekeeper to work past 6:30pm, in which case we will compensate her properly for her time.

What Works Best for Family : We want someone who is personable, trustworthy, responsible and open to feedback. It is important to us that whoever we hire is able to take feedback well and learn new skills as needed. We are looking for someone who will care for our child, but has the flexibility to help with chores, cooking and errands as needed. We do have an allergy to nuts in the home, so whoever we hire needs to be allergy-aware. It would be great if the person speaks a second language, preferably Chinese, but this is not a hard requirement. Someone with familiarity with Chinese cooking and culture would also be preferred, but not required.

Requested Duration: Years! We are looking for someone whom we can trust and will stay with us long-term.

Position Compensation
