Kind and Helpful Family Assistant/Housekeeper needed ASAP in Rochester, MN

Position: Family Assistant/Housekeeper

Location: Rochester, MN

Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM

About the Family: The employer is a busy single father with three children aged 11, 8, and 5. The father works full-time and seeks more quality time with his children. Primary duties will be housekeeper, organization, errand running, and meal prep. The household also anticipates occasional help with the children during vacation periods when the children are not in school or attending summer camps. The family is seeking a dedicated individual to assist with housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and errands. This is a new role to be filled, the client is looking for flexibility while they iron out their exact needs. They truly just need an extra set of hands to help and assist where needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the residence.
2. Laundry: Handle laundry for the employer and children.
3. Meal Preparation: Help with meal prep or cooking according to the employer's dietary needs (gluten-free and low dairy) and to the children's preferences.
4. Errand Running: Run errands, including grocery shopping, as needed.
5. Assistance with Children: Provide support to the children when they are at home, including supervision and engaging activities.
6. Potential Driving Duties: While not currently required, be willing and able to drive and pick up the children from school or activities in the future.
7. Tutoring: While not a requirement a major bonus to anyone who is willing to provide assistance with tutoring would be beneficial, especially if the candidate speaks a second language.

Requirements:

1. Prior experience in housekeeping and/or childcare required.
2. Ability to accommodate dietary needs and picky eaters.
3. Willingness to eventually assist with driving duties as needed.
4. Fluent in English; proficiency in second language is a plus.
5. Comfortable working in a household with possibility of acquiring cats in the near future.
6. Availability for a 30-hour workweek.
