General Summary:

The Project Lead is responsible for planning and overseeing Global Business Process Office projects to ensure they are completed with a client-focused lens and within the established project timeline and scope. Responsibilities include setting project quality and performance standards, assessing and managing risk within and across multiple projects, deliverables adhere to established quality standards, leading project change efforts, and partnering with other members of the Business Process office to execute an effective communication plan. Serves as a single point of contact within the business for the project.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sets direction for and executes on both small and large-scale complex global projects.
  • Leads the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • Prepares detailed project plans, facilitates team meetings, stage gate exit decisions and communicates project status to all levels of the organization
  • Coordinates internal and external resources from various functional departments to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
  • Structures and manages projects in CCL's project management software
  • Leads the people side of change through the application of structured process, tools and training.
  • Proactively troubleshoots complex risks and issues; partners with teams to develop mitigation strategies while ensuring quality standards, compliance, and integration.
  • Reports project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed-escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
  • Facilitates change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and resource needs
  • Challenges traditional methods of thinking to ensure the work is always structured in the most effective manner to achieve project goals
  • Leads project teams to the completion of a project through ensuring successful transitions to the business.
  • Obtains customer acceptance of project deliverables
  • Conducts post-project evaluation and identifies successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Supports the development of Project Management Best Practices, process, and continuous improvement initiatives

Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Business & Financial Acumen: Highly developed financial, and analytical and quantitative skills. Establishes and monitors project budget and understands the connection to the organization's overall financial health. Holds an enterprise-wide focus and understands the different business. Manages one's own time and the time of others and employs organizational skills. Knows when to delegate. Managing milestones. Proactively assesses project risks and partners with teams to develop mitigation strategies.

Always looks at issues and opportunities with a client lens. Coaches teams to build strong professional relationship with their clients. Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of project management for complex, cross functional and global teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working closely with others during the early initiation of the project
  • Must be results driven and willing to operate in an environment of conflicting priorities and compressed timelines
  • PMP, PMI, SCRUM or other project management certification
  • Experience with a scheduling tool (example: MS Project, Asana, Click-Up or others), proficient with the MS Office package.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, waterfall and/or agile project management
  • Prosci certification strongly preferred

Other Requirements/Experience:

Up to 25% travel possible, primarily to CCL various physical locations both domestic and international.

Pay and Benefits

  • The hiring range is $80,000-$85,000. The offer will be commensurate with relevant qualifications and professional experience.
  • This is a US-based position, offering a flexible hybrid work schedule, requiring candidates to reside within commuting distance of one of our three US campuses: Greensboro, North Carolina (preferred); San Diego, California; or Colorado Springs, Colorado. Hybrid work involves a mix of onsite and remote work, with at least 2 out of 5 workdays spent onsite.
