OverviewGovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior PL-SQL Developer. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA. This position will also provide the possibility of a hybrid remote work schedule.ResponsibilitiesMust have expertise in creating and maintaining complex PL/SQL code/packages spanning multiple schemas.Create and maintain web pages using Oracle MOD PL/SQL packagesMaintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements.Extensive Oracle database experienceModify existing batches to incorporate new functionalities.UNIX Shell scriptingAnalyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans.Perform code reviews and bug fixing.Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages.Comply with all required standards and processes and devise approaches to ensure compliance across the team.Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems.Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team.Provide round-the-clock support as needed for the assigned tasks.UNIX, MS Windows Server experienceHands-on experience with Oracle, Java, PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML, JSON, SQL Developer, JDeveloper, JBuilder, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux.Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolves issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the teamQualificationsBachelors Degree in a Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, with 8-10 years (or commensurate experience)8 plus years of experience in IT8 plus years of PL/SQL development experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsUnderstanding and knowledge of Software Development Life CycleMaintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situationsExhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problemsWork well independently and within a teamProficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent time management skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyWillingness to learn and acquire new knowledgeClearance required: Ability to obtain/maintain a public trustMust have been within the US for the last 5 yearsPreferred Experience3-5 years of Java-related development experienceSQL Server database experienceMicrostrategy or Business Objects Reporting experienceOther database experience#zr #diceCompany OverviewGovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
