Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as unloading unpalletized 40 foot high cube containers, receiving and processing incoming stock and custom orders, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

Receiving and Processing:

• Unload trucks and check incoming shipments for accuracy.
• Sort, count, and label received goods.
• Record and report any discrepancies or damages.

Inventory Management:

• Organize and maintain inventory in an efficient manner.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile variances.
• Update inventory records and ensure accuracy.

Order Picking and Packing:

• Review customer orders and locate items in the warehouse.
• Pick and pack items according to order specifications.
• Prepare orders for shipment and ensure they are accurately labeled.

Shipping and Receiving:

• Prepare shipping documents and schedule carriers for outgoing shipments.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Receive and inspect returned items, and update records accordingly.

Quality Control:

• Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing products.
• Report and address any quality issues promptly.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse policies and procedures.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.

Equipment Operation:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues.

Organization and Cleanliness:

• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space.
• Properly dispose of packing materials and keep aisles clear.

Communication:

• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.
• Report any inventory shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisors.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Forklift certification is needed
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 60 pounds).
• Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures (warehouse environment).
