HME is looking for your talent! If you are a Senior Warehouse and Logistics Manager we would love to hear from you! In this role, you will manage the inventory, shipping, and receiving teams. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department and will serve as the primary point of contact for interdepartmental communication. Develop performance metrics and proactively develop and implement improvement measures, using Lean principles to meet our strategic objectives.
What you will do in the position:
  • Develop and implement a formal inventory control program.
  • Manage team according to company objectives, by upholding HME's Core Values.
  • Recommend staffing needs, hire, and train staff. Provide feedback and conduct performance appraisals for the department.
  • Ensure work is completed on time and done in a manner that meets expectations.
  • Develop budgets and monitor expenses.
  • Identify, prioritize, develop, and implement complex cross-functional inventory control process improvement projects that include forward-thinking on project introduction/development/implementation.
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and ensure inventory accuracy company-wide.
  • Audit inventory information, stock status, and inventory balances.
  • Oversee and direct performance of cycle counting program, inventory adjustments, and any requested physical inventory audits.
  • Manage research activities associated with inventory discrepancies identified through root cause analysis and provide proposed corrective action to appropriate process owner(s).
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Monitor productivity and throughput against demand and goals and take appropriate action.
  • Provide strategic planning and direction for order fulfillment team.
  • Owner of Export Compliance Program ensuring policy is current and meets BIS regulations.
  • Ensure shipments are dispatched and picked up for on-time order fulfillment.
  • Oversee outbound domestic and international shipping activities ensuring accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Optimize and negotiate service rates relating to logistics, and transportation, including freight forwarding and customs brokerage services.
  • Serve as administrator for all freight contracts, including UPS and FedEx.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures for materials management. Focuses on strategies for effective control of inventory and order fulfillment.
  • Review daily/weekly/monthly achievement of KPIs and report variances.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to resolve open issues as needed.
  • Review ongoing effectiveness of operating procedures, maintenance, use of space, and protection of equipment. Makes recommendations for improvements.
What you will need to succeed in this position:
  • Extensive experience in shipping and logistics practices with 6years in a management role.
  • 4years' experience overseeing large inventories and audit procedures in a management role.
  • Ability to establish priorities and solve a wide range of business, operational and strategic management problems.
  • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus.
  • Experience with international shipping and knowledge of export compliance.
  • Proven organizational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability and a strategic thinker.
  • Excellent leadership ability.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
Pay Range: 126,400.00 - 158,000.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors. Our benefits package includes tuition reimbursement; 3 weeks paid vacation your first year, paid holidays, medical, vision and dental coverage, pet insurance, life insurance, and 401K contributions.
