OPPORTUNITY

For an experienced Project Manager to lead Hixson’s team of architects, engineers, and interior designers in areas of scope, budget, and quality for large industrial and commercial facilities. Work closely with clients to identify their needs and, with the project team, develop successful solutions. This key role requires a professional with proven high levels of personal integrity, follow-through, and the ability to get results while representing challenging projects up to $500 million for many of the biggest brands in the industry.

POSITION

Reports to the VP/Manager of Project Management. Leads overall direction of Hixson’s specialized design projects. Assesses challenges, takes charge, and executes successfully towards the overall completion of projects, maintaining rapport with clients and key contributors. This position will work proactively across multi-discipline design teams and provide mentorship to others in an environment that values collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS, Architecture/Engineering, Construction Management or related field; PE, RA, PMP a plus
  • 5-10 years of experience working on large-scale facilities design projects in an industrial, office, or R&D environment
  • Solid knowledge of contracts (design and construction), schedules, cost estimating and the design process
  • Proven success in developing client relationships to understand their business and advocate their needs
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
