Job Purpose

The purpose of the Regional Director of Operations is to supervise the hotels and managers in their region to maintain product quality, service quality, and profitability of each property. They are responsible for the overall success of the hotel and region, meeting or exceeding planned objectives for revenue and profit, and ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met. The Regional Director ensures that all AURO Hotels and franchise standards are met.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepares reports and records on work activities for senior management, evaluates current procedures and practices for accomplishing account objectives and continually strives to reduce AURO's costs of operation.
• Develops and implements continuous improvement of process and performance, initiates employee hire, promotion, discharge, or transfer, and performs employee evaluations.
• Monitors productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity, assigns responsibility for specified work or functional activities, disseminates policies to subordinates, gives work directions, resolves problems, sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work, provides training opportunities for property management, directs development processes and ensures that all tasks are completed.
• Responsible for profit management of hotels in region including but not limited to accurately forecasting revenues/expenses, assisting with annual budget preparation and ensuring proper training for hotel staff in regards to financial procedures
• Analyzes financial and operating information on ongoing basis to adjust business plans, labor requirements and operating costs
• Translates business plans into action and manages those actions toward the achievement of revenue and cost objectives
• Personally demonstrates a commitment to guest services and monitors managers to ensure that maintaining guest services is the driving philosophy of the hotel.
• Develops and implements appropriate marketing and sales plans based on demand segments and sales period to maximize REVPAR
• Maintains physical product standards by managing preventative maintenance programs and by scheduling deep-cleaning activities; protects the interests of the hotel during all projects.
• Knows and implements all local health, safety and any other pertinent codes and regulations that apply to the hotel.
