RESIDENT CARE COORDINATOR
Weare looking for the right person to oversee the care and services provided toour assisted living and memory care residents. This includes interacting with our residents, their families and medicalproviders, and our caregivers and medication assistants. Highgate Senior Living's mission is to devoteourselves to help each resident live a life of purpose and each of us plays acrucial role in doing so. We operate communities in the western US and are seekingthe right Resident Care Coordinator to join our team. For this full-time leadership position, weare seeking a caring, detail-oriented individual to support our ongoing effortsin creating an environment that promotes a sense of well-being and the feelingof true community for our residents in our gracious, homelike setting.
Thesuccessful candidate will be an organized and thoughtful individual with apositive and self-motivated attitude. You must have strong communication andcritical thinking abilities. Excellent time management skills are importantalong with relationship building, persistence, flexibility, andadaptability.
SKILLS NEEDED:
  • Able to create partnership relationships with the residents, their families, and our clinical and care teams
  • Excellent customer service skills to respond to resident, family, team member and medical provider requests and concerns
  • Ability to use independent observational skills to help determine resident needs and preferences
  • Calm, levelheaded demeanor to provide coaching, training, feedback, and motivation to our caregivers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication that is factual, based on observation and not subjective
  • Able to provide leadership that inspires others
  • A capability to communicate a vision and simultaneously manage the implementation of the vision
  • A refined listening and observational skill set to help understand the unique dynamics that sometimes exist between an elder adult and the adult child
  • Skilled in finding creative solutions to problems or perceived obstacles
  • Office and computer skills including MS Office suite
  • Ability to learn software that is necessary for the role
  • A heart for service and compassion for elder adults
RELATABLEEXPERIENCE:
  1. Experiences working with seniors to help them maintain their individualism and independence as they age
  2. Experiences working in other healthcare settings and with vulnerable populations
  3. Past roles that require building an effective team focused on customer service
  4. Prior experiences in helping others grow a career in a field they are passionate about
  5. Past roles that included leading a team through vision and values
  6. Jobs that have included scheduling, hiring, training and professional development
  7. Professional experiences that taught you the importance of follow through and problem solving to reach resolution
QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Atleast 21 years of age
2) Currentnegative TB test
3) Currentor obtain CPR certification
4) Beable to provide hands on care to residents as needed
5) Credentialedor the ability to become credentialed in caregiving as required by state licensing
6) Abilityto pass criminal record/background check
7) Abilityto pass a driver abstract and hold a current driver license
8) Beefficient and exercise good time management skills
9) Self-starterwith a focus on attention to detail
10) Anunderstanding through education/experience (formal or informal) of the unique,holistic set of challenges an older adult deals with as he/she ages
11) Excellentverbal and written communication skills
Asan organization we offer our team members a good benefits package, the abilityto be heard, have their opinions count and the opportunity to innovate. Our compensation package will be flexible forthis role based on the credentialing, tenure and skill sets each candidatebrings for consideration. The annual salarywage range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 per year. Prior experiencein caring for seniors or other specialty population groups is preferred.
