Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee the upkeep of various machinery and equipment, spanning electrical, electronic, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within the winery, including essential systems like wastewater, glycol compressors, HVAC, fruit processing, and forklifts.
• Provide specialized technical support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of bottling line equipment, adapting work procedures as necessary to meet production schedules.
• Install, modify, and fabricate parts for new and used equipment, while also managing construction projects by obtaining quotes, comparing bids, and ensuring projects stay within budget and schedule.
• Conduct regular testing and maintenance of process wastewater and freshwater systems, while also serving as the main point of contact for maintenance-related vendors.
• Evaluate and recommend new materials, systems, and equipment that could enhance the winery's operations, ensuring optimal utilization of all equipment.
• Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, particularly in relation to construction, mechanical operations, and safety standards, and actively lead safety initiatives within the organization.
• Develop and maintain emergency response protocols for evenings and weekends, and be prepared to assist at off-site winery facilities as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of winery-specific refrigeration systems, electrical systems, and winemaking equipment.
• Physical capability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, as well as the ability to travel between two facilities in Napa and American Canyon.
• Availability for after-hours work and on-call duties for emergencies, coupled with a valid driver's license and insurability under the company's insurance policy.
