The job plays an essential role in the success of this program by participating in the clubhouse operations (cooking, cleaning, clerical tasks, special projects, etc.), social/recreational programs, employment programs, and education programs. Although the completion of these tasks are important to keep the clubhouse running, the real objective is to encourage the members to work alongside you and support their growth through these activities. This role will be focused on employment services, although not limited to that area. Position reports to the Program Director of the Everett Clubhouse.

    • Work ordered day (within assigned unit such as Hospitality/Kitchen or Business/Clerical)
    • Employment assistance (Transitional, Supported, & Independent)
    • Education assistance

    • Community advocacy
    • Other areas
  • Provide assistance in identifying and linking to community-based services and supports (primary care, mental health and/or substance abuse treatment, housing, financial benefits, etc.)
  • Provide education and resources that support illness self-management, self-determination, self-advocacy, and shared-health-care decision making
  • Develop an individual employment plan with members, mental health workers, and other treatment team providers and update it quarterly
  • Assist members to obtain, train, and maintain employment that is consistent with their vocational goals (occasionally includes helping at their place of work)
  • Attend in-person meetings with vocational rehabilitation counselors (DVR) regularly to coordinate services for members
  • Occasionally assist with transportation to appointments, employment, social outings, etc.

  • Can work well both autonomously and collaboratively on a team
  • Can communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Can balance multiple priorities at once
  • Can work occasional evenings and weekends (Typically only an extra 2 hours for social events, time worked over 40 hours will be compensated with additional time-off)
  • Can occasionally travel with members to various conferences, trainings, and social events
