Summary:

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services for insured and uninsured. Carry a counseling load plus oversee other counselors and student interns. Network with other agencies.

Requirements

Must be a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) or a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and be certified as a supervisor with the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (IDOPL). SUD experience and/or SUD certification is required. Must maintain regulatory compliance with both licensure and supervisory standards and be in good standing with the IDOPL. Must be able to pass Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Criminal History Unit enhanced background check. Some travel required between locations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  1. Knowledge of industry standards and licensure rules and regulations.
  2. Participate in reciprocal feedback from counselors and clients.
  3. Previous experience in counseling.
  4. Adhere to code of ethics for licensed discipline.
  5. Knowledge of community resources and networking skills.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  7. Ability to use independent judgment.
  8. Employee development and performance management skills.
  9. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  10. Knowledge of computer software applications relevant to practice management (Microsoft Office and/or Next Gen preferred.)
  11. Knowledge of staff hiring practices and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assure that the quality of clinical services is maintained through individual and group supervision.
  2. Assure that performance reviews are completed annually for staff under direct supervision, including establishing specific, individual professional development goals.
  3. Ensure that clinical records are accurate, current, and meet best practice standards and licensing regulations
  4. Review all reports of suspected abuse or neglect of vulnerable adults or minors and assure that appropriate actions are taken.
  5. Assure that a quality improvement program is implemented.
  6. Review all incident reports. Consider actions to be taken and implement changes to avoid similar incidents in the future.
  7. Inform the Clinic Director in a timely manner of all relevant political, financial, clinical, and liability issues and make recommendations for any changes in procedures.
  8. Work with Clinic Director to develop and revise program policies and procedures.
  9. Participate in internal and external committees and management team meetings.
  10. Provide psychotherapy services to individual program participants.
  11. Provide consultation and support to staff as needed including being available for staff, including feedback and direction regarding issues of clinical importance, including critical incidents.
  12. Provide back-up clinical care to clients when assigned staff are unavailable.
  13. Share a regular rotation providing after hours on-call supervision of organization wide clinical services.
  14. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Consultation and Education

  1. Provide consultation about clinical and administrative issues to other resources as requested.
  2. Provide educational training and information to organizational staff and to the general public as needed.
  3. Provide leadership about in-service training offered to staff, assuring that is meets licensure standards and clinical needs.
  4. All other job-related duties as assigned.
