The Pediatric Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) program provides virtual Collaborative Care to patients under 21 years old. This is a remote position where psychotherapists collaborate with psychiatric consultants and pediatricians to provide brief interventions to pediatric patients with mild to moderate behavioral health concerns. The Behavioral Health Integration program was created with the goal of increasing access to behavioral health care for pediatric patients with mild to moderate behavioral health symptoms who present at their pediatrician's office. In the BHI program, a patient, their pediatrician, a psychiatrist, and a psychotherapist work together to provide brief behavioral health interventions and medication management for the patient. A small team of behavioral health providers can provide care across a large geographic area by utilizing video visits to treat patients. The BHI program works to bring quick and convenient care to patients by focusing on collaboration, coping skills, and medication management.
