Maury Regional Health is Hiring a Communications Specialist Near Washington, DC

Maury Regional Health is seeking a creative individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment to fill the position of Communications Specialist in the Marketing & Communications Department. Responsibilities will include:Researching and creating compelling consumer content across multiple media channels, including news releases, website, blog, social media, radio and email marketing.Strategizing and coordinating content calendars across all communication channels in alignment with strategic initiatives.Serving as the MarCom lead for marketing strategies related to Maury Regional Medical Group (MRMG) and Maury Regional Health Care Foundation campaigns, projects and events.Creating and updating content for publications, including the monthly employee newsletter, service line brochures and direct mail pieces.This position reports to the department director and will work closely with MarCom staff to develop content, ensure deadlines are met, measure campaign performance and make strategic recommendations to improve consumer engagement.The Marketing & Communications Department drives the marketing efforts for the entire Maury Regional Health system, including three hospitals, numerous outpatient departments, Maury Regional Medical Group practices and the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation.QualificationsA bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, journalism, communications or public relations, and a minimum of five (5) years working in a marketing or writing field with demonstrative abilities in news, feature and technical writing.
